Circuit Protection of Ethernet - Gigabit
Solution:
Design description:
Protection application:
For Gigabit Ethernet communication data signal voltage is 2Vp-p, the maximum data transmission rate of 250Mbps. At such rate, need to consider the suppressor capacitance and linearity. Need to avoid the signal lines affected by the T+/- including and R+/- ESD.
Solution description:
As shown on the left, with the use of a bridge circuit and a bias network, the purpose is to achieve the required low capacitance and linearity. The diode is the industry standard, visa (Vishay) and many other suppliers have sales. P0080SC semiconductor discharge tube as protective element. PTC fuse for common components.
Matching solutions:
In addition to the above recommendations, the Ruilon product portfolio also provides other solutions. Some short application can use a simple P0642SA semiconductor discharge tube, without using a bridge circuit.
Regulatory issues:
The solution is designed to meet the requirements of GR-1089 Telcordia outdoor and indoor standards.
Characteristic:
The design scheme is applying for a patent, its performance has exceeded LC-03 type devices, especially in high temperature conditions, and the performance is superior, and the implementation of the program is low cost
Application warning: none.
